M. Sc. Yujia Cao (Visiting Researcher) |

From April to July 2009, Yujia Cao was a visiting researcher at DFKI (Automotive IUI group). Yujia is a PhD student at the Human Media Interaction group of the University of Twente (Enschede, the Netherlands). Her research topic is cognitive-aware multimodal information presentation, focusing on the design of multimodal presentations that can be more efficiently perceived and processed by the human cognitive systems. In cooperation with other automotive group members, she designed and conducted a user experiment investigating how local danger warnings can be better presented to drivers.
* Yujia earned her PhD in February 2011.

M. Sc. Ehsan Gholamsaghaee (former member) |
Ehsan Gholamsaghaee was member of the group from January to December 2009.The main part of his work focused on multimodal dialog systems and multi-party interaction. Further research interests were intelligent agents, ontology based learning, and indoor navigation systems. Ehsan studied Computer Science and Computational Linguistics (the latter as subsidiary subject) at Saarland University.

Dr. Christoph Stahl (Researcher M2CI Cluster of Excellence) |

Dr. Christoph Stahl is a member of the Cluster of Excellence Multimodal Computing and Interaction. From 2009 until end of 2010, he has been consulting the Automotive Group, leveraging his expertise in navigation, 3-D environments, and nomadic devices. His work is focused on pedestrian assistance in intelligent environments. He is working on a methodology to design and develop assistance systems that integrate support for multiple activities and make intelligent use of ubicomp technologies and environments. Christoph is now working at DFKI Bremen.
